I was recently invited to see the unsigned, band “Skinkage” out of NC compete live at Tremont Music Hall, here in Charlotte, NC for a spot on the Mayhem Festival in Bristal, VA on July 24th. Upon arrival I was blown away by the support of their countless fans (made obvious by wearing their Skinkage T-Shirts) who came out to support them, especially considering that it was a Wednesday night and the weather was unfavorable but those factors didn’t seem to discourage their fans at all!
As soon as the band took the stage their energy flowed throughout Tremont and I could tell right away that they would be frontrunners in the competition. After performing 3 songs, which I’m sure, was part of the competition rules, it was enough to leave me wanting to hear more.
Just as suspected, they won the competition at the end of the night. I’m looking forward to hearing more from these guys in the future. I definitely recommend that you check them out for yourself!
